Grabbed the left thumb by the tip, and brought it all the way up where the chain guard pushed it out. Got it right behind the nail and split the thumb bone. Doc had to pull the bone out and suture up the badly, badly damaged thumb. Lost my nail and a couple of mm's off my thumb.

the histamines or the sulphites?

Histamines, as described by the nice lady that owned the winery we were on tour at. . .

I have a lot of trouble with beer as well.  There are only a few I can drink and not get a headache from.  I've narrowed it down to preservatives and assorted chemicals

I'm sanding parts in preparation for black paint.  Belt covers, risers, headlight ears at the moment.  Engine covers may be next.
