Question for you dp - Do the engine cases or belt covers get hot enough to require paint able to withstand a specific temp?

I use activated urethanes on engines with good results.

Unactivated eneamels...rattle cans...don't have the overall durability of activated products, or the resistance to heat.

I guess I'd use a 5000 rattlecan on the engine cases and even the cylinders...they don't get very hot.

Use krylon fusion on the belt covers for adhesion (I think it only comes in gloss) and then use whatever gloss level over it.

284 miles in 4 hours and 30 minutes.  That includes 2 mountain passes.
