Stock 750 with a slipper and light flywheel....hot rodding possibly in the future.

I'm not on a 4V budget....either for maintenance...

or tires.

I wonder what else mechanical will break.

We lost power...

went to start the generator...naturally the float stuck.

Pulled the plug to clear the cylinder of fuel...

motor locked up....wtf?

Pulled it apart...

A screw had fallen in while I was pulling it over and jammed the thing.

I hope the nick in the piston has no long term effects. :-\
Shit never happens one at a time.

There will always be a market for 2 valve motors.  Use it for this season, sell it off and stuff a 944 into the frame.

Maybe the nick in the piston will lighten it up and give you a few more KVA

...or create a hot spot and the thing will fail in the middle of a 3 day outage.   ;D

DP, part out the ss, use the monster for now, collect some coins from the sofa and wait for the right bike to come along.

Some has to have a track ready ss or maybe even a 748.  How much harder can the belts and valves be for the 4v (i just had to write that.)

Things'll get better.  Stuff like this always happens for a reason.
The 750 is the right bike for me.

They require little maintenance, and are normally bullet proof.

This bike had a hard life.

In it's last crash it tore the throttle off and was running at full throttle upside down. That's probably when the bottom end got damaged.

I can't complain...the bike owes me nothing.

The timing just sucks.

I really don't want to go back to tracking the Monster.

When I retired it from the track my toes and pegs were dragging significantly...

that's a recipe for a hurting I can't afford.

I'll drop a used motor in the thing and go from there.

Home from work and went running.  I'm a dork.  Went to work and hour early this morning.  I thought my class started at 0800 when it really started at 0900.  Oh well!

Work all day again on Sunday.  No race watching for me. :(

this is happening right now all around us.

neat idea, shitty execution when 50-100k people bent on getting drunk and partying all night literally surround your house.

we tried to go out and check out the cool art stuff but there were just way too many people.  Thought it might be a bit better now, but no such look.  I'll try again in a couple more hours.

same to you.

where you been?
I ran three truckloads of stuff from my wife's daughter's place to here for storage. She found a place but it's too small to put all her stuff in. I'll be going up there today to help her pack some more but after I take her kids to see the new Batman movie. My wife is out of town as her son's girlfriend just had a baby and she was bragging yesterday that they were going to see that movie so I was jealous.  [cheeky]

You're what, 5 hours behind EST? Whatever it is you're either up early or still up really late.

The trouble is, when one ends another begins. 'Tis a viscous cycle.
