mike's bike wouldn't start yesterday
mine started right up

one of us went for a ride, and it wasn't me  :)
he wanted it more than i did, so off he went

i have to admit i was a little jealous as i watched him head out on my bike
and even more so when i heard my bike a 1/2 mile away  :-\

If you can reach on a 749 you can reach on a 999. ;)

Why are 999s so popular nowadays?

So many people hated on them when the first came out.

So did people finally realize that performance can overcome a perceived lack of beauty?

I LOVE the fact that no other bike out there looks like a Triple-9.  It's got a beauty and style all it's own.  [bow_down] [drool] [bacon]

All the Japanese bikes look alike for the most part...   :-\

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

Mel, you can ride the 999 if you want.

It's interesting, when they came out there the people that liked the design and embraced it.

Then there were the people that renounced Ducati and wanted to burn the factory to the ground [laugh]

Now they're gaining popularity on the used market.  Personally, I didn't like the design at first but it grew on me over the years.  Now I think it's really cool.

They have a ton of features and performance.  For less than half (I think) of a new 1098s I have almost the same performance.

Not that I can do anything with it ;)
