Dude, I think we determined that I'm older than you are.  And you know "they" didn't invent helmets when we were that age.  Besides, I was busy riding horses.  And we had helmets.  Rather...uh, cowboy hats.

And I only got kicked in the noggin...wonce.

;)

That's right.  We didn't have helmets...  and we survived.

None of us ever died from eating a PB&J either.  [cheeky]
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

nature gave us the skull,

a hard shell to protect the rather foolhardy contents

that got us into situations where a hard shell was advantageous
This is an insult to the Pez community

that shell can only do so much.
sometimes it needs help.

and no, the squishy stuff it protects will not give the protection of "STOP DOING THAT"

I really am not opposed to kids wearing helmets.

Kids do need to fall down & scrape knees, elbows, etc., eat dirt once & a while, be forced to eat their veggies.

They need to be allowed to build poorly designed ramps to jump their bikes from - so they can learn to design better ramps.

They need to be allowed to fall off the monkey bars, swings, etc.

It builds character.

FWIW:  I'm over the helmet thing.  I've moved on to other worrisome concerns.

Sorry to hear about kitty not doing well Stella.

I have become far too familiar with the process of removing the airbox (requires removal of ignition switch, coil rack, battery) and reassembling on my M750.  Stupid carbs.
