AM & I took a New Year's Day Ride yesterday in 60 degrees & sunny, which makes it way less epic than it should be. January 1, 2011 here was zero degrees Fahrenheit with a solid sheet of ice as far as the eye could see - which was a bit TOO epic for my taste. Or would have been if I'd braved it.

We could use some of that. Tomorrow morning, we head east to the White Mountains near the AZ/NM border for what will probably be my only shot at skiing for the year.

Of course, the forecast there looks just like ours a couple of hours to the West: barely freezing overnight, 60s during the day. Spring skiing (if at all) in January just doesn't seem right.
