Trying to give them a little help.

I think we had a humidity issue in the incubator...the membranes are very tough.

You can't go too fast with the help or they'll bleed from the veins that are adhered to the membrane.

Nerve wracking.

TiNi

what are you doing to help them?

ducpainter

Opening up the membrane very slowly and carefully.

They made holes in the shells quite some time ago, but didn't seem to be able to 'zip' the shell.

Good luck with that Nate. I would be a bundle of nerves.

Cousin Brenda and her 2 kids came over after work yesterday. Brenda just moved back here. She is my favorites ex relative. I used to baby sit her kids Will and Skylar. Now Skylar goes to my alma mater. We went out to dinner then they hung out till about 10pm. It was fun. Sky is going to housesit for me next week and watch Lucy.

Who has fun plans for the day?

TiNi

fingers crossed for the little ducklings

ducpainter

Just got them out...

They're very weak and chances are probably 50-50 for their survival...maybe a little less. :-\

They'll stay in the incubator until tonight or tomorrow to dry off and we'll go from there.

Headed out to take my father out to lunch in a bit.

Come on baby duckies!!   You can do it!!!

Rooting for them and good luck to Z at the last T-ball game.  Miss seeing my sisters ankle biters playing - always soooo entertaining.   [thumbsup]

Going to see how my own little 4-legged ankle biter does on a paddle board. I think he'll do great.

Enjoy the day!
