Just got back and the tree trim guys were in the yard quoting $1200 to trim a big house threatening tree. Last year another outfit quoted $375 to trim that tree. I'm going to call them and reconfirm that.

Now to find something to drink.

Amber ale and nachos with fresh onions, tomatoes, and peppers and that nacho cheese sauce that comes in a can.

And the oven plays a little song when it reaches the pre set temp and the oven light flashes on then off then on again and finally off.

All of 'em.  

No light pollution in the rural area where I live.  When we have visitors from the Northern hemisphere if it's a clear, cloudless night I like lead 'em out onto the back verandah and say..... "look up"...

The reaction is worth bottling  

They're always, always blown away by the gazzilions of stars there are twinkling back down at 'em.

I never fail to enjoy that little stunt.

I was just reading about how you should lie down to look at the stars. That way you are looking out at them and not up. Up is an illusion.

If you lie there you can look at the stars down by your feet and to the left and right of you while your back is pressed against the rock of the earth behind you.
