we've tossed the options around and around for months now...
the auto transfer option of course would've been the best,
but the cost comparison vs. usage time was crazy, so we are going for something smaller.


mike researched for weeks, and the troy built brand gets the best ratings.
the model will run lights, well pump, fridge, and boiler.
original choice was a generac brand - but they get horrible reviews.

I run my whole house on a 4000w generator.

It works hard, but can do it as long as you don't start things all at once.
