mmmmm bacon.

It's been all about the littlest ankle biter today.  Signs of the same (really expensive) illness from this past summer.  Fortunately nipped that in the bud with meds on hand.  Just got some rice gruel and shredded chicken in him and he's kept it down and seems more chipper.

I, on the other hand, have had nothing - because it's not about me.  Getting "hangry" and need to remedy that soon though! [laugh]

I hope Oliver Bacon is truly on the road to recovery!

Speaking of bacon and laziness, I lay the bacon on a foil covered sheet pan and pop it in the oven, set the oven control to 400 degrees f and set the timer for 20 minutes. If it is thick Neuski's a little longer. Then it goes into a ziplock in the fridge and just needs a little warming for a fix. Little to no cleanup and cooked bacon at the ready.

No preheat? Might try this for packed lunch sandwiches...

Unfortunately, he can get pancreatitis any time so no real recovery.  Just have to watch what goes in his mouth and respond immediately if he shows any signs â€" like this morning.  May have picked something up on a walk last night.  Who knows.

Ok.  Bacon (not Oliver Bacon) is going in the oven (thanks SpikeC!).  For moi.

evening...

hard day of installing pine on the living room ceiling...

couple of cocktails...

and then the neighbor pounding on the door to let us know we had a chimney fire...

won't have to clean it now. ;D

Stella I hope Oliver is feeling better.

Be careful dp  :o

First world problem here - I lost about 6 or 7 pounds since early November and now my suit pants don't fit, too big. How do I gain some weight back quick?

Stella

Red beans and rice should help. Stop going on so many hikes and drink some dark beer. After a couple of weeks  you should be good. Otherwise get a belt.

Or have them taken in.
