Nice.

Maple and granite?

We're going industrial with Gladiator Garageworks workbenches and chests.

That's what we priced.

Not sure if T has the door style nailed down in her mind yet.

The house is kind of 'rustic/industrial'. The cabinet guy thinks Shaker will work. I have an opinion, but I'm just gonna write the check. This is not my first rodeo. ;D

So why are you going with industrial benches?

So we can reuse them somewhere else later.

We don't want to put in fixed cabinets in our unit (potentially going to be split down the middle in the future).

The rental will get shaker style in a dark brown.

ahhh, wonderful, tasty beers...  [beer]

I think we're just going to chuck the last two closet doors and look for something nicer for the living room, since the paint has been such a headache.  flooring/carpet, door hardware is next up.  Still need to call a guy about the flooring bit.

hmmm... just got an email from work.  good news?  ish?  el boss grande has 'assured' my union rep that when I get back, I won't be touching a machine, just doing code...

Fair enough.

Ours will be light colored. Like I say...not sure about the door style, but I'm pretty sure they will have face frames.

CNC code right?  Machinist like ML, if I remember correct.

I only work in 2D and the program we have a work writes the code for me.  I think I would  [bang] if I had to do it all by hand.

yep.

:edit:  coding by hand isn't that bad... for small stuff, anyway. sometimes it's faster for me to code a path in notepad vs. taking the time to draw it up in CAD

Is that a good thing?

well, it's less stressful for me... and in line with my job description, which was the long, tired battle I've had for years w/those guys. I guess it took me falling the make the beast with two backs apart for them to see it my way  [roll]

Not trying to be nosy...but you must have started out cranking handles.

Why does being an operator stress you out?

Is it production volumes?

edit...

just got a call from my wood guy.

We had a long funny conversation.

I'm burning sawdust...and he's been delivering wood 7 days a week since August.

It just ain't right. [laugh]
