Its a 55,000 litre concrete rainwater storage tank.   There will be a little silt accumulated in the bottom of it (since I last allowed the water to run completely away  ), but not enough to interfere with the foot valve which draws about 150mm above the base gate valve which still runs clean.

I'll tackle it tomorrow...  or the next day...  probably should just check and re-tighten the poly connections on the supply side first.

We're getting weird weather too...  72ºF high today, 52º low tonight.  Tomorrow?  High of 60ºF early in the morning dropping to a low of 16ºF tomorrow night!!!  Crazy shifts of temperature!
