Quiet in here this day.  Home in a bit to shower and get ready for work. My house sitting gig ends today!  I will come over after work to get my coffee maker and give the keys back. Cali, the dog, has not pooped since Friday!  She must be feeling it? Hope she goes at lunch.

Good weekend working around the house.  Still waiting my my sprocket, so didn't ride any.  I did fix a slight fuel leak in the Hawk.  I may ride it to work the rest of the week!  Drove the Z today.  I wish I had about $3000 to drop into motor, chassis & suspension work.  I could do a lot with that.

In an effort to same money with my computer issues, I backed everything up and did a system restore.  It works ok now, but I wonder how long before the video flakes out again.  In related news, I kit-bashed a couple older computers I had (burnt out Northbridge on one) and came up with a working computer with more memory but a slower processor.  It'll make a good internet and similar machine.

Most of the more gigantic beasts are up in our Deep North. Think Everglades type fauna. The salt water crocs are huge. I holidayed in a place up North where there were signs on the street to not stray off the sidewalks and roadsides lest you be taken by a croc. There is the same issue of crocs straying into suburban drains and waterways like the alligators do. Dogs go missing.. The biggest danger is swimming where you shouldn't.

Poisonous snakes and spiders are anywhere. Some snakes are very large. Fortunately snakes usually avoid people. Most people will never see a shark, but we eat them all the time at the fish and chip shop.

Bush Ticks can make you very sick and various creepy crawlies give a nasty sting. In my hometown we had nasty scorpions and lots of snakes and goannas. A goannas teeth are toxic.
We have large bats called "flying Foxes", but they eat fruit and insects. Some have huge wingspans. There was a large colony in the Melbourne city's Botanic gardens that had to be relocated.
Never step on a fish that looks like a stone... You won't have long.

Ung lives in the bush.  He might have some pics. I moved to the city years ago from a very country town.

B got offered the position in Sioux City.  They even have housing to offer us for the short term.  We are finding most places will not take the pups.  

Started putting out feelers for myself and have a couple leads.

Got a call from one place that was very interested, but didn't have a position for me.  Was very helpful and was going to talk to his boss about possibly creating a position for me.  

Still waiting to hear about the position in Erie.

We will know by the end of the week.  

Both B and I have colds.   

We babysat the grand daughters last Thursday night.  Coincidence?
