Funny. The Sales Manager at the local Japanese bike dealer asked me "what made you choose a Ducati?"  I couldn't explain why by any definitive terms, I just drove past the Ducati dealer and saw this yellow M750 sitting out front and for some reason knew that was going to be in my garage.  I've owned a lot since, but still have the M750.  I even sold my 900SS because I preferred the M750.

I've had two fast Suzukis, and they do that pretty well.

Night Koko!

It's all true, except I did give him his bike back, only to nag for another ride (bike swap) within 10 minutes or so! Lol!

Nite Bro.

Morning Bro, morning all.

My wife used to love me riding, & would enjoy a spin with me. Then however, she spent over a decade in the A&E Dept! That stuffed the whole show right up!

I don't reckon she's been on the bike with me since we've had kids!

She's not likely to get on the monster with me either!

At least the daughters are keen! Daughter #2 now also asking for a ride! Hehehe!

Morning Gk.

My Mrs also spent time as an emergency nurse.
Had to nurse quite a lot of bike accident victims...

No chance of getting her on thd back of the monster. Becaise it is setup as a single seater...

Morning guys!

My wife has ridden with me a lot.  We've even drug parts on Deals Gap on my little M750.  I only scared on one bike I've ever owned, and that was my 1984 Suzuki GS1150.  That bike was all motor with terrible suspension and brakes.  I hit the best part of the RPM range (had a drag racing cam so it would haul some serious arse when it hit the right RPMs) in 2nd gear and she thought she was coming off the back.  She's got her own (Honda Hawk 650) now, but can't decide if she really wants to pilot her own or not.  That Hawk is an absolute blast to ride though.

I remember flying through the woods with my dad, me sitting on to tank, my sister sitting on the back.  If we ever have any kids, I'm hoping they get the bug too!

Hi fellas,

Yes, it's the lament of the rider, if their wife isn't really interested. It's a double pain, if they don't really get why riding is so important to you.

My wife used to ride everywhere with me prior to marriage and kids. We even managed a huge trip to the country to my parent's place on a CBR600!

I have hung many HUGE monos with her on the back in the past. Ah memories!  [Dolph]

Well, daughter #1 has the bug for sure, #2 would be happy for a spin on the back every now and then. Gotta be happy with that!  [thumbsup]

Hang on, is it a typo?

'We've even dragged parts on Deals Gap'. Is Deals Gap a local favourite ride of yours?

I live 90 minutes from Deals Gap.  It's a nationally known road for "318 curves in 11 miles."  It's a very tight and curvy road that attracts people from all over.  It also is a place that a pile of accidents happen.  When I say "drug parts" I'm meaning we were riding aggressively enough 2-up that I was dragging pegs, my boots, mufflers etc.  It was a blast.  I've also taken the Hawk there, and I've drug the center stand and muffler every time I go.

'Drug' as in the past tense of drag. Gotcha!

Deals Gap sounds like a ripper ride. It could have quite easily read like you were dealing in elicit substances at a special meeting place though! LOL!

he he he . . .

Interesting day to say the least . . . some bean counter remembered I existed and a full crew of suited up guys and dressed up gals came to perform an inventory of what I have here under my command . . . they were so dissanpointed to find EVERYTHING listed and what was not available, I had the bikes where the parts are IN to show them . . . it seems they thought I back out easily . . . I am a tough bone to bite . . .

at lunch they asked where to eat, I pointed out the "diners" I eat at, their looks of disguss were so funny, like saying, "we cannot eat there, we are administrative personnel" . . . other choices at the time they wanted, in a car, a 20 min drive to TGIF one way and about 30-40min drive back here . . . they finished ordering pizza, but, since I had to leave for lunch, I had to ask them to wait outside in a very very very cold 33°C/92°F in our very very dry climate with 90% humidity . . . sure, they waited in the car with the AC on . . . I usually get my food and eat it here at the shop, not today . . . today, I took exactly 55 minutes to go, eat and come back . . .

now, changing into my civilian clothes to go home in my very fast and fun bus ride . . . Oh, it's raining . . . wierd uh?

Glad it all turned out good.  Funny thing about traveling and such.  Those diners they cast a look of disgust on are exactly the places my wife and I hunt for when we travel.  When we were in St. John we told the Jumbee driver to drop us where he would eat lunch.  It was fantastic  [thumbsup]

JM, they're fishing in the wrong pond, that's what they're doing . . . So I did my best to show them my hospitality . . . It could have not turned any other way, bike comes in, I open a WO, I write down part # and quantity send to invoicing and that's it . . . On my side, nothing is missing . . . Thery are trying to catch me on something and they wont, even the parts for my bike are accounted for . . .And all of this because I said "NO" to one of them coming here "after hours" because it suited them better . . .
