Shooting indoors or out? If indoors, get a lead level blood test. The American average is under 3 mircograms per deciliter. If Z goes with, test him too.

What calibre are you restricted to? And distance?
We're not restricted per se, but Both of these competitions happened to be .22lr at 50 feet.

The rifle uses aperture sights, and I use a red dot for bullseye.

We shot 25 yards outside all summer with center fire pistols. I used a 9mm.

I'm much better with a rifle. I didn't start shooting pistol until a few years ago.

There you go.

The only hand guns i've fired are .22, .357mag and .44mag. The first two not to bad but the .44 bout all I could hit was the cinder block wall behind the target!  [laugh]

Mary...

As a kid we fished with lead sinkers....which we often chewed.

I did auto body work for over 30 years. Many of those involved using lead as a filler. When I first started most paint had lead and chromates in them.

I really don't think my lead exposure from an indoor range is going to be the problem.

Zeke doesn't go with me.

It does not take much to mess up a person.  Good thing is, that lead has a 30 day half life. The blood test is just a snap shop of the level on that day. A bone test would be lifetime exposure and lead in the bone has a 20 year half life.

You forgot to mention eating paint peeling from the walls as a kid.

I did mention I was pretty familiar with lead exposure...

very little wall paint contained lead. Most lead paint was used on windows, doors, and flooring because of its durability.

Lead was used in automotive paint as the opacifier to improve coverage as tints are more expensive. Almost all red auto paint contained lead up until 20ish years ago.

I never wanted to know all this stuff.

It's odd the stuff life teaches you.

The best of the staff went to the downtown location.  We're covered. [beer]

Does this mean you are planning a trip soon?  There really isn't much I need to do to the Ranger right now. [cheeky]
