In that case a rental car serves no purpose and can be eliminated from the cost accounting.

True. I have no Motorcycles here though so you would need to consider obtaining one yourself.

I've gone 3 years without riding.

A week/end would be no issue.

Ive decided that riding is much easier than figuring out how to run this cash register.

ducpainter

There'll be no question about that when you have customers in front of you. ;D

As soon as I can get a POS system I'm going to do that and ditch this register with all the cryptic code keys and stuff.

I hate Groupon, I hate Living Social, I hate Yelp and if you are someone that buys daily deals I might hate you.

My company went from a five star rated gig on Yelp to 3.5 after doing those freaking offers.  Every single one star post from someone that was outside the limitations of the offers we did.  Bastards use Yelp as a platform for extortion.

Please make any and all online reviews of companies through Google+ and not that Stacked up online mafia that is Yelp.

That is all.

They liked the Jeep.  It will go to their mechanic on Monday.  If it checks out they will buy it. Gave me one thousand dollars to hold it for them.

There would be a BIG dog riding in the back again.

Yep!  Now I am afraid to drive anywhere!  Might take the bus downtown and do a little window shopping and get a coffee or a beer.

When my wife and I use deals like that, we don't usually leave online reviews if the food or service isn't great.

We figure we've eaten cheaply and won't return.

Bad businesses will fail without any help from us.

If asked by friends however, we tell them.

lol.  Yelp is crap.  I am actually thinking of bringing a suit to a California court arguing Yelps interpretation of customer as it is not on par with California's

I am writing an article regarding our experience with the coupon crowd.  Here are but a couple of the stories.  Not edited or spell checked yet!

The Prince:
This fellow did not show up for a 6am flight he was booked for.  As we were leaving the site for the day at 10am “The Prince” arrived.  He was not sorry he did not show up for his flight but instead he demanded that we take him then.  Long story short he said and I quote” I am a Prince and I do not get up that early”.  Total time spent arguing with him at launch?  30 minutes.

Childcare:
Five times now we have been put on the spot to either provide childcare during the flight or to have our chase crews watch their child while they fly.  Some have gotten upset that we do not provide it and have yelled and screamed.

The Tweakers.
These two showed up yelling and screaming at each other.  The woman was banging her head against the steering wheel of her car after making her other half get out she drove partially down the road and proceed to hit a glass pipe where everyone could see her.  They were so disruptive that we had to ask them not leave.  Afterwards they went across the street and got in another fight that resulted in the Sheriff's Department being called out.

The "They have not sold us this holiday in India” guy
This guy was classic, he wanted us to take him and his entire family of six out flying on a peak holiday.  Peak holidays were outside the limitations of every offer we have ever done.  Yet he threatened us with bad online reviews if we did not give him a holiday.  One that we usually turn retail clients away in droves due to it being one of the busiest days in the balloon industry.

The “Oh hell we are screwed, he is going to weigh us” ladies:
That was what one of our crew overheard one the ladies say to the other when I had to break out a scale to weigh the entire group.  Why did I break out the scale?  It was quite clear that the two ladies were quite a bit over the weight limits of 360lbs.  To be fair we weighed in everyone.   Rather than deny them both board and redeeming their coupon we went ahead and took one lady.  She later went one to one star us on Yelp and complained of not getting a four hour flight.

The “He called us fat in front of everyone” couple.
This is the couple that forced us to make a contract for people that are near the weight limits.
They were quite obviously far past the limits forcing us to bring out the scale once again.  We told them nicely and quietly that there was an issue with them being over the limits and that we could not take them flying.  Never did I or anyone on our crew call anyone fat in front of a crowd or in private yet it did not stop them from saying so on Yelp.

The “we are at the wrong address and it is your fault because you are trying to rip us off” lady.
This lady did not bother to read her confirmation email that stated we had moved our launch site across the street from the airport that was listed on one of the coupons.  When she called she stared to scream at us on the phone and it was nearly impossible to get a word in.  Despite her baseless accusations and ranting we finally managed to explain to her we were across the street.  It took 15 more minutes' once on site to calm her down and we ended up taking her flying and the pilot got a nice tip.  It was still a lot to deal with in the morning prior to a flight.

The “Erin did not send me my free pictures fast enough lady”
One of the prettiest flights of the season and despite getting an hour and a half long private flight on one of the most gorgeous routes and days of the year (due to a last minute Groupon cancel) she gave us one star on Yelp because my wife Erin accidentally deleted the pictures she said she would send her.  We do not sell pictures and were never under any obligation to send her any.  It did not stop her from a one star on Yelp.   My wife Erin cried when she saw that.

And the customer is always right, right?

Wrong.

Some people are never satisfied.
