If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

There are other warm places than Florida.  I'm thinking St. Croix or similar.

That's not warm.

That would be Hellishly Hot and Suffocatingly Humid. [evil]
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Here too! Last summer we had record breaking heat.  [thumbsup]

From a local news story:

The average high temperature from June 21 through September 21 this year was 79.3 degrees, falling just behind 1967's 79.5 degree average (and just ahead of 3rd place. Guess what summer that was? Last year! 2013 averaged 78.6 degrees)

Our toasty numbers this year make sense when you consider 40 of the 92 days of our summer were warmer than 80 degrees -- meaning nearly half our summer was spent over 80 degrees! And 21 of those days were 85 degrees or warmer with five days at 90 or hotter.

To compare, Seattle's warmest average high temperature during the summer is 77 degrees in late July and early August.

For the entire year, Seattle had 45 days at 80 or warmer (five were spread across May and a day in April) -- tied for third most on record, behind 1967's 47 days. Somehow Sea-Tac didn't manage to reach 80 degrees Sunday (topping out at 79) while much of the surrounding Puget Sound region did touch 80, or else we would have nailed down second place. For 85 degree days, we had 22 overall (one in May), tying the record.

Compared to some of the days I saw last summed, I'll take it.

Looking forward to a whole summer without a forecast of "120° and Sand"

FTR, Dunlop Q3's are superb.

I seem to remember sweating like a pig when I visited. My thought was..this is just as bad and maybe even worse than New Orleans.
