Wandered into the garage today and noticed a tiny fragment of metal in the rear tyre of my DR650....  glinting in the light it was.... staring right at me...  lucky to spot it.

No loss of air pressure.....  Hadn't yet punctured the tube.... figured I'd better get onto it before.... in some inconvenient location.... the inevitable happens.

Dismounted the wheel.... peeled off the tyre...  ejected the offending metal shard...  (had made no more than an minor impression on the heavy duty tube)...

Mr Proactive saves the day  [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

Until I pinched the make the beast with two backsing tube (in two places) when levering the tyre back on  [bang]

Never mind... All fixed now.  And all done with just the tools and spares I carry on the bike.  Must remember to buy some more patches for the onboard repair kit.....

Better to have a flat in the garage than way out in the woods. Make sure those rim locks are tight.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I'm still in bed. I only got up to silence the phone. It was really loud when I got a text.  :P

morning

This thread reeks of Facebook. :-\

In the spirit of saying anything.

I don't care for those suspenders that Mork from Ork wore. Some plain green ones would have been better perhaps. Or none at all.

That's all I got for the moment.

It was the '70's.

I would like to have the house...  And to have paid the '70's value for it.

If the Dog that I have now could be transported to that house in the 70's for the show, she would be famous.

I wonder if it would increase the value of the house because a dog from the future lived there?

I've heard of stranger things happening.
