Looks like I'm doing the same thing today.  Turns out the reason I kept hearing road noise in the Subaru was the left rear shock tower collapsing from cancer.  Putting my F150 on the road today.

'Ning.  Car-cancer sucks.  I'm from Michigan and I now live in New Mexico.  Not just for that reason, but it did make the list...

Mechanically the car has some serious heart.  It would go another 100k if this were not the rust belt.  Damn shame.
