I did a 28 miler 2 weeks ago after mostly sitting on my ass all winter (my job does keep me active).


My legs were telling me that for the first 26 miles.  Then they told me to go make the beast with two backs myself.  The last 2 miles was quite a leisurely pace.

Other than a pedestrian bridge over the highway right at the end, the last two miles is all down hill.

back home . . . during pt I was doing about 10miles/day . . .

back home from dinner . . . had 4 rolls and a beer . . . after that we went to get some ice cream, on her dime . . . now, sit down and watch some tv

[laugh]      There's a method to my madness.  I had Friday and yesterday off already.  Family will be in town Tuesday evening and I'll be taking some time off.  If I work today, and open to close mon and tues, I get the rest of the week off while only burning one vacation day.  Following week I'll take some days to start out.
