42 laps without stopping.. The issue never showed on the dyno, and didn't show when he rode it for one session another time. Yesterday he had a chance to do some extended sessions. The problem showed up after 20 minutes of riding. We had already replaced a suspect switch and that didn't cure the problem, so he swapped out ecu's and got the 42 laps without a problem.

When I rode it I couldn't get to T3 without it acting up. I think he thought I was nuts...

until it did it to him. ;)

So a strange thing happened...


I took my old F150 out of storage and put it on the road about 2 weeks ago.  Yesterday I notice there is now only 1 loose bumper bolt barely holding the thing on.  There was never an issue before and when I screwed on the new plates it was still solidly mounted.

Bumper bolts don't typically rattle off.

No they certainly don't, especially in the northeast.  I'm considering that as a possibility.  It's pretty straight but not worth the trouble IMO.  I live in a pretty crime free area.  Neighbor across the street has the same truck.  Although I don't really know them we are friendly and wave to each other.  Real ballsy move if it was that guy.

You seem to spend more time there. :-*

I'd replace the missing ones and use some red loctite. That'll slow down any loosening. ;)

Same truck you say?  I suggest asking neighbour-dude if he's had any trouble with bumper bolts working loose.

That is the plan.  I would have thought the rust would have prevented the loosening of the originals.   [laugh]
