So...the kid was out of school for a week because of weather. Yesterday afternoon, he decides to take a nap...this kid never naps. Running a fever now...home from school. [roll]

actually, a partial transit thru the canal on a container ship, small, in the bridge with a Canal Pilot . .  pretty sure 1.21GW will post pics, better than my "IZ pics" taken with my cellphone.

Why do they need a special pilot when they're dragging the damn thing through with cables?

Are they afraid the captain won't pay the toll? ;D

the Canal Pilot takes over the ship's helm, he gives all orders how to turn, accel/decel ship, the Canal has "proprietary" signaling and they need to be in constant comms with the control centers[main and at each set of locks]

I'm sicker today, but at least the kids have school.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.
