If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Are the sick peeps feeling better?

Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.
"Don't piss off old people The older we get, the less 'Life in Prison' is a deterrent."

Much better.  Just needed the right meds. [thumbsup]
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

The kids are a little ill but seemingly unaware-just playing. Paula is a zombie-I hope she doesn't get it as bad as I did.

I got it from a coworker at a place where the boss doesn't want you in if you're sick.  [bang]

I guess the boss doesn't get what he/she wants.

I suspect the coworker had an overdeveloped sense of duty.

For some reason there's a long list of folk proud of coming into work sick-these people cost more than they produce.

I understand it at the places that don't pay sick days, but for everywhere else? No good reason to do it.

I'd rather see people with an overdeveloped sense of duty than no sense at all. :-\

That does seem to be the trend, but I suspect maybe those folks just stand out more.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

It used to be that loyalty worked both ways between an employer/employee.

I don't really think it applies anymore.

Seems to be the exception, not the norm.

The only way I got paid what I was worth was by leaving for a promotion. When I was leaving-that's when they offered me a raise. There would have been no raise forthcoming otherwise.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

...and that's a dead end.

Eventually one side of the equation gets tired of the exercise.
