I had to run out in the freezing rain.

It's terribly bad out.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

We might get some snow here in Seattle for Christmas. I fly to Jacksonville early the morning after. Then fly home the next afternoon.

Made the mistake of going to a store.  Was told that the item I was shopping for was sold out and that I should have planned better...  No, it is a popular item around the Holidays, and your buyer should have planned better!

We have snow!  The gf came over and we cooked dishes for her family meal. She will come to my place Christmas evening.  Then I have to be at the airport early for an 0600 flight to Jacksonville.
