I had a non-tank pickup and I preferred those in the past.

After I do the drywall on the bathroom that beast of mine goes away. I don't really need it anymore.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Good work on the tile!

As far as tanks go, I was driving an 87 Suburban when I was 17.  I was the only one other than my dad in the family allowed to drive it for a long time.  I think I miss my 6500lb truck.  As a nod to Ford, I think that someone that was just getting into a truck for the first time would probably like the one I'm driving.  I didn't know about the electronic steering, but wondered if it was a bit drive by wire or similar.

I haven't hauled the camper yet. :-\

I am curious how this one would do with a heavy load, it's got what appears to be a 10 speed tranny but typically skips the even gears without a load.  It's very good under acceleration about keeping the tach right around 2K, seems to be it's "happy place" for power delivery.  It's not mine, so I'm not going to do anything I don't have to with it though.

Mines a 6 speed.

Upshifts are seamless. You can't tell. Like I said, downshifts are less so because I think the motor bogs too much before it shifts. I may look into whether the shift points can be altered.

I drove the Explorer I was being offered, ONLY plus I found, my bike would fit whole in it . . . Didn't like the way it drives, didn't know it was a FWD as base, this one was 4wd, but, did not like it

I agree on the downshifts, I think it bogs, then the turbo pressure spikes a little causing the abrupt/surge feeling.  This one seems to be programmable, but I've not gotten into the computer much.

Morning   [coffee]

Mostly quiet work week here.  Boss gone all week so can study w/o his interruptions.

Friend traveling from Chicago to Bend called Sunday night asking to stay for a few days.  Her original Denver base camp has a bunch of sickies.   Glad to have her.  Inspiring and funny considering she's recently widowed (husband was highly decorated military) and now dealing with a lot of in-law b.s.

In other news:  Violent Femmes concert last night â€" fun show!  [thumbsup]

I find it funny, these “How To” videos that show you how to make Product X at home instead of paying $$ to buy it.  Never a mention that the cost to set up the shop to make said product at home was $$$$.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.
