afternoon all.

I'm finally legal...

... bike is registered in Japan and on base. No worries, no problems, I can be a hooligan again. I can even mod (a bit) if I desire. I'm a happy man.

I've got to do some shopping though. I need new gloves. Old pair of Triumph gloves I've had for years finally gave up the ghost from regular use. I think I"m going to buy some Held Akira.

On another note, if you ever want to complain about the DMV, head to Japan and deal with the LTO. They make the DMV look like Sunday School enrollment. We're talking multiple buildings, each with specifically #'d lines for certain purposes, in specific order, notaries, inspections, & stamps (both the rubber/ink kind and the lick'em kind). Jeebus.. And, the paperwork I had to bring. Enough to fill a binder. I'm still figuring out what paperwork I have to actually carry when I ride. Honestly though, once it's figured out, it's pretty easy. They do their best to help as much as possible. Even got refunded part of my weight tax. &4 worth out of a $25 stamp. Meant I had to leave 1 building and go back to another and then go back. All for $7. But, that $$$ bought lunch.
