In other news, I heard a very interesting lecture from Stella's boss at lunch today.

Something to do with low / zero emission vehicles and state rules and regs by chance?

In other news:   Daring DesmoDiva!

Ditto to all the previous comments.
I can only imagine the relief you feel and I'm happy for you !

[thumbsup] [beer]

And in other other news:   My neurotic, separation anxiety-diagnosed pup in his most recent whirlwind of trying to find an outlet for his anxiousness while I was gone for three hours the other night, uncovered a $50 spot that I must have left in a pant's pocket.  Good doggy!    [thumbsup]

His thing, while panicked and hyperventilating, is to completely pile all the bedding into a heap and then pull clothes out of the closet.

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

You have my sympathy.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I know the sympathy comment wasn't directed at me but I'm taking it.

In a matter of 10 days, I raised nearly $100k in sponsorship $$$'s for an event we're throwing for work.  (Goal is $132k by Sept.)

Boss completely insulted my effort in front of a key board member yesterday.

Flipping tool. [bang]

Still working on changing that situation.  In the meantime, I'mma gonna vent on occasion.
Good news today is I'm working outside of the office and ready to ride my bike 150+ miles this weekend.   [thumbsup]

I hope everyone enjoys!   [Dolph]

Morning.

Sorry to hear about the tool boss, Stella.

Have you considered recycling your beer bottles in his wastebasket? Sending his resume to local competitors?

Maybe just leaving a bunch of copies of his resume in the local printer.

Once word gets out hes looking to leave, they'll start looking for a replacement.

Is this the same boss that I met?  Arrogant ass.

ha!  Thanks for the ideas.    Unfortunately, he's the prez.  And reports to a disconnected board of directors who rotate every year.  He gets reviewed by them every three years so no one ever gets the chance to really get to know or question him.  Financials aren't questioned so he keeps his job (going on 16 years now).  And to his credit, he IS good at lobbying the state to protect the board and members' businesses.

I'll be the one to leave which I'm ok with.  Auto industry for many decades is slowly killing me.  It's like the song Hotel California:  You can check out any time you want but you can never leave.   ;)

His presentation was very inspiring...  Inspiring to want to put straight pipes on my Suburban!

Of the small handful of your co-workers that I have met, there are some amazing people there.  Sad that the higher ups are aren't the same.

Was it his story about being in Italy on a Rotary trip?
