Trying to figure out plan E for dinner.  Fingers crossed the local grocery store is still open.  I'm getting Craslow level hangry (after a long, for me, run and slight all day hangover).

Couldn't fall asleep last night.  [bang] [bang]  As I was finally dozing off, I heard what could have been 7 or 8 gunshots...or possibly fireworks.  But at 12:20AM? 

Then I woke up at 6:30, well ahead of the alarm.

I eventually ate but highly disappointing.  First stop in middle of the day was to get a bison ribeye.  The independent meat market doesn't carry bison.  Then later, I checked hours for my favorite wing place (closes late), no answer after multiple calls.   Then I called the other local restaurant whose hours for the day were until 8pm (it was 7:20).  No answer and their online ordering system was refusing my order.  Then I checked the next restaurant.  Closed for Memorial Day (understandable).

Grocery store was open yay!   Bought a rotisserie chicken breast, rice, veggies....   Got home and opened the chicken bag and the stupid thing was burned (sorry for your wasted life, chicken).   I had a few frozen breakfast chicken/apple sausages in the freezer that I ate w/the rice.  Not a combination I'll be making for guests.  Maybe for my boss though who texted me Sunday night at 9:45pm asking I proof a document.    [roll]  

Coffee time now.

Evening Ducatters.

Went for a long sunny drive in a small convertible car on pretty much deserted hilly and twisty roads, came home to cold beer.

I'm calling that one of life's Good Days  :)
