.... unless you're up against a deadline.... I wouldn't worry too much. In my experience the wheels of consular bureaucracies move extremely slowly.  Whatever time-frame they suggest.....  I'd suggest you triple that (at least).

Official timeline is 4-12 weeks.  News we got was current backlog is running 6-7 weeks.

Getting closer now matter how you slice it.

Evening.


Good dinner out last night in the even gooder company of a favorite dmf'er.  Should have stayed out.  Wrangling siblings and parents and 3 dogs is taxing me and I've only been back in Michigan for 5 days.

In other news:  new company placed another indefinite ban on travel unless it's “business critical” which requires approval from a corporate sr VP.  

NY auto show, a biggie, canceled for the second year in a row (was supposed to open in 2 weeks)

I'm afraid we're rapidly headed towards a lot more bans and cancellations and rules and restrictions.    

Talked with a teammate in Wisconsin today and he's been shut down for a two weeks with the Delta variant.  He openly regrets not having gotten vaccinated.  

Next time I hop on here, I promise to bring a little more positivity.
