While we're on the topic of songs, here's one that's playing on my system right now:

I miss your smell, and your style,
And your pure abiding way
Miss your approach to life
And your body in my bed
Miss your take on everything
And the music you would play
Miss cracking up and wrestling
Our debriefs at end of day

These are the things that I miss
These are the times for the weak of heart
These are the days of raw despondence
And I never dreamed I would have to lay down my torch for you like this.

I miss your neck, and your gate
And your sharing what you write
Miss you walking through the front door
Documentaries in your hand
Miss traveling, our traveling
And your fun and charming friends
Miss our baser getaways
And to watch you love my dogs

These are the things that I miss
These are the times for the weak of heart
These are the days of raw despondence
And I never dreamed I would have to lay down my torch for you like this

One step, one prayer
I soldier on
Simulating moving on

I miss your warmth, and the thought
Of us bringing up our kids
And the part of you that walks
With your stick tight handkerchief

These are the things that I miss
These are the times for the weak of heart
These are the days of raw despondence
And I never dreamed I would have to lay down my torch for you like this.

Inara: (pissed) "What did I say to you about barging into my shuttle?"

Mal: "That it was manly and impulsive?"

Inara: "Yes, precisely. Only the exact phrase I used was 'don't'."

Thanks for the good thoughts, please be careful out there, we are mortal.  My fiancée and I kept looking for a punchline in the thread.  It did take a few minutes for it to really hit home that it *really* happened and nobody was joking around, even if in poor taste.

I do apoligize for buzz-killing TOSAT, but I had to speak about it.

I think my choice of songs killed the buzz before you got here with your news.

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Randimus Maximus

Of course I do.  They don't make a crowbar long enough to pry me off the track ;D

Also, re: the staples, they were the wrong size.   [bang]

However, i discovered they fit the gun, and I could fire them one at a time and finish them to depth with a hammer [laugh]

Couch = completed.

I rule.

Nobody call me anytime soon.  I won't be able to hear you over the sound of how awesome I am.
