How's the affair with the 696 going Bear?

JM

Actually quite well, it`s only a pleasure to ride on our roads, Got a back wheel from local duc shop from a st 4 s, test fitted on friday night the centre hub is 5 millimeter wider than the stock rim, with some machining the bike will look right at the back and then with some revalving of the forks will steer better [thumbsup]

Also busy negotiating to exchange a stock ecu with the dp ecu of a bike that was written of by the insurance ;D

Morning (here at least) BTB!  That's good info on the ST4s rear rim onto the 696.  I'm sure others would like to see what becomes of that...

later DP!

Hey JM:  Check out the M1000SS for an idea on how to make a stock clutch cover look cool for $0.

Got to run...  No  [coffee] yet and the dogs are barking outside...

Laters!

You talking about Spidey's bike?  Is that just cut with a Dremel or similar tool?

More Ning.
Any opinions around on a 2006 800 ss? Local dealer has one for sale. Not as pretty as the 90's SS, but is it a fun bike?
Respeta mi autoridad!

the_Journeyman

Not sure about the 800, but my 900SS is a blast.  It's the same body as the 800 IIRC.

The newer SS's were great bikes, but look for a 1000ds.

I really miss mine.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

And, SwampD, how was the track day?

Didn't the 1000SS make right at 100hp?  My 900 at 80hp is incredible, I can't imagine the 1000!

Owen wakes up, gets his pills, and then lays back down!

I am waiting on my oatmeal.  Then I have a long list of chores for the day.  Working would be less work.

[coffee]  now!

Pretty close.  Open airbox, Termi's and PCIII, mine dyno'd at 97.
