1 mile.

That # was corrected for altitude, so I was only seeing @ 77.  Would love to have seen it at sea level!

What I loved most about the bike is how stable it was.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Maybe it was the one that was OEM at 92HP

My 900 has the airbox snorkels removed and has and AWESOME snort from the airbox on a good throttle twist ~

JM

My monster makes a nice snort with the airbox lid, ummm... not there.  ;D
Of course, it's not an SS.

Right, but the airbox & motor are nicely similar if not the same.  I've not tried mine without the lid.  The M750 just wheezes without the lid, no snort.

Been so long since I have seen your bike...  900 or 944?

900. Low Sil pipes, airbox lid cut by Bart, and a PC3, 78 hp (also at 5280 ft elevation).
Bwooooaahhh... And a tail chop now.  :D

Last year I sort of rode the KTM solo a lot, less group rides.

JM-  Yeah, I cut the stocker with a band-saw and then finished it with a file.  Nice look for free, eh?

97hp out of a DS1000SSi.e.?!?  Yeah...I'd miss that bike too!  [thumbsup]

Got Duc

Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Big Troubled Bear

Bye, Bye [thumbsup], got to go work on some bike [bang]

Nice  [thumbsup]  I've got Sil pipes too.  No PCIII, but I'll bet one cures that little hiccup right around 4000RPM  :)

And, SwampD, how was the track day?
Track day was great. The morning was - unpleasant. Everything was new: leathers, boots, bike (rented a Ninja 250), riding on a track with people screaming by in the straights, no mirrors, using clip-ons, etc... I was overwhelmed. The guy who rented the 250 to me told me I could downshift more than 1 gear without a slipper clutch because the engine makes so little torque. Bullshit. Tried it once and felt the rear buck all around. Kind of lost a little composure after that and ran through the grass  on one of the turns on the next lap. I pulled off for a few to calm down, then got back out there.

Then around lunch time, there was a wreck in the B group where one guy clipped another in the fastest turn on the track and they both ended up in the tire wall. Just a broken clavicle for one of the riders, but there was a long break. After that, I was relaxed. I quit worrying about going fast or holding people up and just focused on being smooth. I improved dramatically after that and was wishing for more power by the end of the day (there were 2 slower riders that held me up in the turns but then pulled ahead on the straights with their 650s). I had a blast all afternoon, and I found the nasty tire boogers all the way to the edge to be deeply satisfying. Didn't get a knee down, but that'll come.

Funny, I feel like I'm moving around on the bike some, but a control rider showed me some video - I don't move for shit. Looking forward to learning how to do that!  [thumbsup]

Also, I think I'll do a couple more days on a 250. Then, if all goes well, I'll consider getting a track pregnant dog!

:'(

Rode a dude's '05 SS1000DSi.e.     It rocked.  They're out there man....  I would've loved to have seen the 749 motor in that chassis personally...  But, the Vertical head will NOT fit the stock frame tubes.  At all.

JM-  I thought you'd like that clutch cover!  [thumbsup]
