well... that really sucks... i wonder if your coworker travels as much as you do...

Ironically he does, he's been to Vancouver more often than me and this was his "favorite" garage until yesterday.

Oh well, they should be opening shortly, off soon.

Long day here in Vancouver.

I'm traveling with a coworker, who wanted to park the rental car in a pay garage for $12 for the day.  Discovered later that there is a $5/day outdoor lot that is closer to where we are working.

We went back to the garage at 7:15 this evening, only to find that it had closed at 7:00, and they closed the gates with our car and our suitcases in there.  [bang]

We'll have to get up early, catch a cab there, drive back, shower, change, then head back to the customer site.  Luckily I had my toiletries in my computer bag. [roll]

Why not park at the hotel????

P, you're too nice I woulda choked him/her on the spot and ran over the body in the morning. I can feel my blood boiling already.

Check out my oil filter forensics thread!                     Offended? Click here
"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

MrFryMoto

morning all
been a hectic past few days

most of you heard about the oil-change debacle on Friday, so i won't go into that.
The reason for the oil change was a ride on Saturday with several co-workers
Sans me dropping my bike in the morning (only scratched a mirror) the ride went GREAT.
mostly harleys but the owner of the company (on a v-rod) and i took off and blasted down HWY1
when we got to his ranch him and his wife (who he had on the back) came up and asked "how fast does that thing go!? WOW!"
...always good to make an impression  ;D

then after the 200 miles of riding, i had to go drive 200 miles up to Salinas to visit the in-laws for a quick overnighter
yesterday i took my old supervisor's location in the office - i've got a window now!

and that's the end of that long and boring story.

i wish there were more hours in the day, then i might be able to get some work done  [roll]

and before i sign off-  you're quote for the day:

"Bacon is meat candy."

Have a good day all!

p.s. Fry-Cycles.com is coming soon  ;D

Mal: "That it was manly and impulsive?"

Inara: "Yes, precisely. Only the exact phrase I used was 'don't'."

Why not park at the hotel????

Because the hotel is about 25 minutes drive away from the customer site.

I really am.  He told me last night to meet him at 6:40 am to go get the car.  It wasn't until halfway through the ride there that he realized I didn't need to be there.  I had realized last night, of course, but thought it would be rude to say "No, you go get my bag." :-\

Anyway, got it back, we're all good now.  I've now nominated him for a good ribbing at the annual sales meeting, so that's something at least.
