Speed on the water is very different from the same on land.

I still think track days are more fun.

T disagrees. ;D
I was on a forty-odd footer when she broached.  That, my friend, is exciting.

exciting does not always equal fun.

It was exciting when I planted myself in a gravel trap.

It was no fun.

Any concern with mounting a Pilot Power on the front and a Pilot Road (or Road2) on the rear of my 900SS?

It's a great combo for sport touring/longevity.

Go for it.

It still wasn't fun.
It's fun telling the story.    ;D

Or, I should say, it would be fun hearing the story

Thanks, I'm either going with that, or trying Bridgestone 021's.  The 900SS seems to enjoy rear tires.  The well-aged rear Power is slick in the center area.

That's true, it isn't, and the Powers on the 900 are of an unknown age.  They both have some fine cracking along the sidewall & tread lines.  I'm thinking there's borderline unsafe.
