Hi dp.  We are headed to the burbs for dinner with the in-laws.  Lamb!

Went to the MC show today.  Half the size it used to be.  On the plus side, I can flat foot all BMW's!  Being tall is a good thing.

I have to be at work at 0715 tomorrow :'(  No football for me.

Ducati had floor space and had the newest bikes out.  No parts or anything for sale though.  The Ducati stunt riders did their show.  It was so crowed, that only  the people standing right on the barrier could see the show.

Victory and KTM were not at the show.  The space was only half filled.  Less bikes, less vendors, and lots of people.  I did attend a tech talk by Lee Parks on cornering.  It was interesting and I got picked to help with the demo.  One guy on a bike (Monster!) and 4 of us to hold the bike up an tip him over as if in a corner.

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

Even the new ones with the Low Seat and/or Low Suspension options?

I haven't seen a lowered one to try yet (as far as I know),  but in any case, they are too wide and I am all stretched out sitting on them, they just don't fit me right.  Not being able to reach the turn signal with the clutch pulled all the way in is a pain too.

I just looked at the specs on the F650GS:
32.3 inches (820 mm) (low seat: 31.3 inches [790 mm]; lowered suspension: 30.1 inches [765 mm])

Dave's S4R had a seat height of 31.5" and I tiptoed that, and it's a narrower bike.  My 695 is 30.3" and I have one foot on the ground, the other one on toes (with the suspension adjusted for my weight). My inseam is about 28".  The lowered suspension height would be pretty good if the rest of the bike actually fit.

I just can't do it!  so the guy who saw my bike today is pretty serious about it, aside from some of the ergos (he's bigger'n me) he loved the shit out of it. didn't even haggle price.

and since he wanted to know why I was even selling it, we had the talk... so I'm thinking it over tonight if I really do want to sell or not and call him tomorrow with the good or bad news.
