After a shitty night of not sleeping, a hard run at the gym this am has me nice and perky.

Finally got the place mostly restored after Saturday night's Solstice-and-Whatever Party. How did wine get that high up on the wall?

Really looking forward to the days getting longer starting tomorrow.

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

i want to go back on disability.

it has taken me from 8:30 until now to sort through all of my e-mails and voicemails from the past 2 weeks.
it's as if "i'm not here, call _______" means "i'll get right on that, dont' worry about a thing."

i had a lot over 300 new e-mails. i stopped trying to count them after that.
i have gotten 4 or 5 calls today asking if i took care of whatever it was they had e-mailed me about last week.

i gotta find an ice patch and slip on it so i can go back out, lol.

Afternoon. We got power back sometime Saturday I think and today finally got our internet back. We got quite a snow here in the NC mountains. Not quite the amount the folks further north got. I learned a couple things during this snow.

1. Some people really think that a powerful, rear-wheel drive sports car, say like a Mustang is perfect to bring out when there's a few inches of snow on the ground.

2. Chrysler didn't do too bad a job putting together my Dakota. It's fared far better than many full-size and even some Japanese half-tons in a foot of heavy, wet snow.

Glad to see everyone survived. One of my grandmothers STILL doesn't have power. It looks like there's a couple thousand waiting on electricity still in this county.
