Not familiar with those.  Do they make a good jam?

That sucks.

they're great in pie

yeah, I'm not a happy boy today

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Boredom is a dangerous thing for me. I'm considering joining a roller derby team.  [evil]

I really REALLY wanna, but practices are 3-5 nights a week and that's a lot of time away from my toddler.

wow, that is kid of a lot!

are they mandatory practices? do they primarily work on skating?

Betty Rage

I'm pretty sure they are mandatory. They say Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at first and more as you progress in your skill. Plus there are meetings to attend and you are expected to volunteer. That's just such a huge commitment for something I'm not getting paid to do.

I assume the practices would consist primarily of drills and scrimmages.

dang, that's pretty hardcore!

I mean, it's still cool, but that is a pretty big chunk of free time

Betty Rage

Yeah it really is. I just can't see anyone with small kids being able to do that you know?

Luckily there is a recreational team they are affiliated with that only practice 1-2 times a week and it's not manditory. They don't compete but it's a good way to get some exercise and learn the sport. I might do that.

I just saw prices for professional derby skates. Holy toledo! Some were upwards of 900 bucks!!
