The Architect

Thanks DD, night all, just got a Mad Men dvd, season one, think I'll watch it.

the_Journeyman

I withdrew my ad for Molly, and backed out of the trade for the KTM 400.  I just can't bring myself to sell Molly.  I could part with the newly acquired 900SS easier than I could part with Molly.  Sure, there's plenty of M750's around, but I'll never find a bike with quite the attitude Molly has.  They really sometimes do have their own personality.

Hope everyone is well ~

Hi JM.

Yeah!! Molly's staying....

How's C?  Has she finished her Master's yet?

She's not gone back for that yet.  Nor have I, which I should.  It's almost silly, but we have so many good memories with Molly we'd rather store her as sell her.  Granted, I'm probably going to ride her next chance I get...

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Thanks for the hugs, they help :)
the dark chocolate bar I just ate helped too.
I just sabotaged my diet by eating it, all because I'm hating my job.
Now I'm pissed I let them get me. Damn it!!

Nice to c ya T :)

You want we should bend them a little? Maybe realign their point of view for 'em?

What's new in corporate america?
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

What's new in corporate america?

since you asked...
i got a time card yesterday to keep track of my arrival time, and i'm on salary
i will not be paid extra for staying 15-20 minutes extra, only less for arriving 3 minutes late

i lost my front row parking spot, and now have to park with the manufacturing employees in the rear lot

i will be suspended without pay if i am caught talking about anything other than work related issues
and the grandaddy of them all... internet and cell phones are not allowed at our desks

and yes... i am looking... i have NeVeR had a job like this. it's like make the beast with two backsing prison.
i don't get it, all of this after i received a fantastic performance review last week.

GAAN

I'm a "salaried" employee

and yet I clock in every day and my pay is based on the hours I work

how does that function exactly?

x2!  Joel, another thing to have him consider is that the AF has the highest quality/standard of living out of any branch.  Also, the AF as an institutional whole treats their people significantly better than any other branch.  More than anything though, make sure he goes into a job that will provide him with a high-level security clearance.  If nothing else, it will open many other doors for him down the line on the chance that he does not like what he originally came in to do.
