Frank, what'd you do?

Came into turn six, started to tip the bike and the bike disappeared from underneath me.  For an instant I felt like a cartoon character floating along wondering where my bike was.  And then the asphalt called me.  I think I pushed my luck with some old tires.   :P

Ouch.  I assume you're OK, what does the bike need.  And don't tell Mel

...and of course you're going to throw them away...

right?

As for me, nothing worth mentioning.

The bike; waterpump cover was ground down and it leaks, crank case access cover is gone and a broken foot peg.  The foot peg is turning out to be a pain, it's a BCM.  Fortunately Axljak can make them for me at an affordable cost.

They're not looking so bad compared to the 9 year old tires on the ST.

If you put them on your street bike...

I'll hurt you...

to save you the effort of falling off again. [roll]

Think about it.

You already said you were having trouble heating them up...and that was at the track.

How the hell are you going to make them work on the street?

You're being foolish now.

I wouldn't ride on a 2 year old tire never mind those things Frank has. They have to be 5 years old.

I know.  I was just trying to buy some time.  But I think waiting is my only option for now.

It would be the wise thing to do IMO.

You were lucky the other day. You didn't get hurt.

Don't push that luck....please.

Maybe Eric has something that is a better alternative.

That really was a wake up call.  Surprising how much speed you pickup when you get comfortable with a track.  No reason to hit those speeds and not be able to get the smile we're looking for.

Late "ning!"

And a tribute to Sac and the "ning" salutation based on Wiki.:

   * Ning (surname), surname of Chinese descent
   * Ning (website), online platform for people to create their own social networks
   * Ning River, tributary of Mei River, originating and running through Xingning, China
   * Ning County, county in Gansu, China
   * Nanjing, abbreviated as Ning, capital of Jiangsu Province, China
   * Prince of Ning (1378 â€" 1448), Zhu Quan, 17th son of the Chinese Ming Emperor Hongwu Zhu Yuanzhang

I like the last one.  Revised.  Prince Sac Ning.   Anyone?     [evil]

I Second.

All in favor, Say Ning!

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.
