They need another middle-grades technology teacher ~

I just figured out my my 50 gallon hot water heater starts to run cooler and cooler water during a 15 minute shower.  My bottom element is out.  Guess I'll be hunting a replacement for that today instead of riding ~

I should be, but I don't sleep well much it seems.  Gives me more time to ride during the day if I get up reasonably early ~

yeah. But, doesn't she post here? Or is it a figment of his imagination?

Sorry, was sleeping earlier and I'm terribly slow.

Yes she posts here occasionally. Mostly she lurks and tries to keep him on a short leash.  ;D

the_Journeyman

Well, looks like I've got the lovely job of draining my hot water heater & pulling the bottom element.  1st day of vacation and I'm not really vacationing.  Maybe I can get this knocked out by lunch time and get a ride in  [moto]

The sooner you start the sooner it will be finished.

Is it an electric water heater?

the_Journeyman

Yea, just a basic electric 50 gallon heater.  We don't have much of a natural gas infrastructure here.  Draining it will be the hardest part it seems ~

Doesn't have some sort of valve at the bottom where you can attach a garden hose, to help drain it?
