Korea is interesting. Beautiful from the ship as I haven't hit the beach yet. Ohh well. I should be out and about tomorrow. Tomorrow is the memorial of the ship's namesake. His parents were on a few weeks ago for our Change of Command.

Have you been to Korea before?

I've been to Seoul a couple of times, also got to visit the DMZ and got yelled at by a Northern Korean soldier with a very big gun.

First time in Korea. We're down in Busan (Pusan?). No trips to the DMZ. Last time the ship was in Korea, they had a tour to the DMZ. But, it was a different port. Hoping to get the chance eventually.

I need to get out and experience though. Can't wait for the weekend.

I really liked my visits to Korea, even though I didn't get much sightseeing in.  I found the Koreans, despite being shy, to be among the friendliest Asian culture that I've experienced.

My visit to the DMZ wasn't a tour, just a late-night casual visit (probably why they weren't so pleased with me )

i dreamt my 20 month old nephew
(who is one of the custest kids in the whole world)
grew into a teenager before i got to visit him again

I had an off one as well. Woke me up 2 hours before needed and makes me want to check up on someone I haven't spoken with in almost a year.

THen, I had a dream about buying a house (damn Reader's Digest).

my "day" just started. 7 hours to go until people come in and then another 4-5 of work.

1st deployment, it was a rare port visit where it was a "working port." Since coming here, I've had more working ports than liberty ports.
