My wife had some nose surgery on Wednesday, had her deviated septum and sinuses fixed up.

Our live-in dog watcher moved out today and took his dryer with him, so I surprised my wife with what she has wanted for a longtime:

Front Entry Washer and Dryer.

Sure, they are scratch and dent from best buy, don't match, but the price kicked ass. She didn't mind one bit.

The washer is an LG and the dryer is a Samsung; both energy efficient, so need to check tax code as maybe we'll get a tax credit for purchasing them as it seems anything stamped "energy efficient" gets them these days.

There is a nice dent on the dryer on the left, but oh well.........doesn't hamper performance and the discount in price was worth it. Out the door with tax for 1500$.

Not bad considering I bought a shitty ass washer and dryer about 7 years ago (still had/have the washer, sold the dryer before it took a shit a few months ago) for about 750$.

Overall, pleased with the purchase.

Negative: My basement is a make the beast with two backsing pregnant dog to move anything in to, especially a washing machine that weighs 375lbs. I have a bum shoulder, my wife is out for the count with her surgery, and my neighbor who make the beast with two backsed up his knee during MMA training a few months ago is about half the size he was and has to take it easy. However, Shane and I were able with the help of a dolly borrowed from my old boss with 4 tie downs, we were able to get it down. Let's just say two guys with finance degrees are awful at moving.

Some Jim Beam afterwards took care of our aches and pains.

Three is enough for us..

Try 5.  Two in the large, I mean large and not balls of fat large, in the 30lb range.  Another in the 20lb range that's and all-muscle rehabed street kitty, a Siamese/Himalayan mix that's afraid of it's shadow.  Then, there's the 8lb Hemingway, or poly-dactyl.  He's half wildcat and misses no opportunity to show it.

Add a Boxer/German Shephard mix to that.

Congrats on the new washer & dryer Cyrus!  I buy open box, scratch/dent stuff all the time to save money to spend on the bikes ~

I won't bother, the poly-dactyl would massacre it.

Thanks  waytogo

haven't gotten a chance to use them yet. I got the "plumbing" hooked up on the washer and the electric hooked up on the dryer. I was a bit scared on this aspect as the cord came with 3 connectors to screw into the dryer, but none of them were labeled on the instructions. Checked out the dryer instructions and nothing was labeled either, so I just bolted them on in the order they looked like they fit. Well..........I am still alive to tell the tale......so it apparently worked.

It looks like on the dryer the delivery guy tried to push it back with his boot and put a nice dent in it. Oh well.........it works fine for us. I let it run for about 25 minutes with no issues.

Ran a cycle through the washer and it seamlessly ran as well.

The washer had definitely been cycled before as we found out when it dumped a shit ton of water on my stairs while moving it!!

Same same.  Had a good ride yesterday.  Dropped off the SD for a new rear tire while picking up the SC from two new tires.  Trying to decide whether to go hit the twisties again today, or head out to DucPond for the GP BBQ...

I did 300 yesterday. First real ride of the season...that's almost over.

Why not do both?

I did 300 yesterday. First real ride of the season...that's almost over.

Yesterday's ride was probably close to that.  I can't recall the milage, but I know we had to stop for fuel at least three times.  Wink  I'm starting to feel the impending end of the riding season down here as well.  Feels kind of strange after being in Hawaii for the last three years...

Why not do both?

Don't really have time.  The ride through the twisties is out in Maryland, east of the beltway, and the BBQ is about 140 miles NW of here.  Doggy doesn't want me gone that long.  Wink

We only needed two stops...older large tank bikes.

Ride faster...you can make it. Grin...j/k
