Now that I am fully caffeinated it is time for a run.  My goal is 3 miles.  I have been slacking off the past 3 months and have only ran once.  Wish me luck.

Good luck Mary!  I am also out of shape for running, with Grover's injury.

Should I just say I'm not in my usual shape then? :P [cheeky]

I like running, love hiking and biking, and am not a fan of working out at the gym (I get too bored and prefer fresh air), but do it if I have to.

It is nice.  I run through the Seattle Art Museum Sculptor Park.  The park turns into Elliot Bay park.  The trail hugs the bay and has a large rose garden and a working grain elevator.  The trail goes 6 miles one way.

I had to walk part of my 3 miles, but it felt good.  I hate gyms.  Fresh air and real running and stairs. for me.  In SF there is a gym by one of the BART stations and you see people working out on the stair master then they leave the gym and take the escalator up to the train.  Just use the stairs!

I absolutely agree...also the people who drive to the gym (on a nice day!) to spend an hour on the treadmill or exercise bikes.

Many homeless people/drug addicts in the park?

I had a gym membership for 6 months at one point, but with my travel I only made it there about once a month.

Now that was an expensive membership!

Hey, Sunshine.  I only ask because it has been/is a problem in other parks in our fair City (czaja and I both live in Seattle).
