See, I've got 34,000 on my Monster's clutch, but it's a 750.  I can say that I heavier handed with the 900SS when it comes to hard launches and stuff like that, so I know that in the time I've owned it, the clutch hasn't had an easy life.  Who knows what the previous owner put it through.  I also have done plenty of riding in the rain (OEM cover, but gasket removed) on the OEM springs that I know rust.  They could be corroded to the point of not doing their job properly.  So, yea, plenty of variables

Yea, the 750.  It's a wet clutch, and only 62HP.  That helps, and I don't ride it all that aggressively compared to the 900SS.

hey gang :)

had to drive the big truck to work today...
my car wouldn't stay running this morning  :'(
it started, then shut right down
i started it again, and again, it shut right down...

i got home tonight and it fired right up, and stayed running just fine
what gives? do i need a new battery? it was 9°F this morning, would that cause this?
Quote from: ducpainter on February 24, 2011, 03:40:08 PM
Don't need a battery...I'll bet real money you had some ethanol related moisture frozen in your fuel system.

Try some dry gas. ;)
