Backing the speed down 25% is a huge loss.

Huge.

Tools are in the range of 5% of overall part cost.  Even expensive tools.  The money comes from running them fast and exploiting the technology.

The guy that removes more cubic inches of metal per minute is the guy making the cash and getting another PO
I guess that's why you make the big bucks.

I hate buying consumables...just goes against...nature. :P

Yeah, I get that.  It's different in your line of work I think.

If you had a lot of paint work to do, would you pay 25% more for material that setup faster and let you get it out of the booth quicker?

Not if it dried 5% faster I wouldn't think, but if it cut the time in half would it be worth it?

That's how I'm looking at it.

Also, I'm not making the big bucks.  I've spent a ton in the last 7 days.

Coulda had that 848evo :P

With the ground still frozen (can't believe how much of a snow/ice pack there still is given all the recent rain), the recently deceased rabbit couldn't go in the ground. I drove out to a nice forested area and placed her body almost royally atop a big boulder looking down into the woods.

That's a nice place for bunny. Sorry to hear of this news.

I really like bunnys. They always get a visit at the county fair.

I don't have enough work to worry about it, and I use materials more geared to glamor rather than productivity.

I'm one old slow guy and most of what goes on is waiting for stuff to dry.

It's a speed I can live with. ;D

RIP bunny!
My dream future pet is a Flemish Giant. That's right, I want a bunny that's the size of a big dog.  So cuddly and cute!!!

she was pretty cool, got sick just about without notice, vet gave us antibiotics but she stopped eating and drinking and died yesterday morning.
She was another one of the pets we inherited because someone else had it and couldn't keep it.

Funny but totally not right, my wife said, "Well, I guess we gave up rabbit for lent"
