The only reason I'm doing the frost wall is for resale considerations.

Many banks won't give a loan on a house on a slab around here..they require a foundation.

Let me know if you need help on the set up or pour I've done hundreds. I also have access to a vibrascreed for the floor. It makes life a lot easier.  ;D

That's normally the case.

All you really need is a weather proof shell.  After that you can sort of work at your leisure.

Surely you have friends that will pitch in and favors to call in for those that are reluctant ;D
I have lots of offers for help, and the guy I've been working with on and off the past year or so is going to frame it...he's an excellent framer...it's like magic what he can do with an ugly piece of lumber.

The schedule is tighter than that. My goal is to not be in this house next winter. That would make me a happy guy.

I'll do that John.

I need all the help I can get, and since the house is going to have polished concrete floors with no coverings that will be a huge help.

So that gives you like 6 months to get it built, right?

That's do-able.

You're not going to dig up my camping spot are you?

Yeah...about 6 months.

Nah...it's going to be somewhat close to the barn.

I don't want a 400' long driveway. ;)

Yeah that would make sense huh?

Ning peeps. 44 and rain later. There is a break in the showers right now.

Have a day Nate.  I wish I could come and help you build your house. I spent the summer or 92 in Georgia building with Habitat and ended up with my own crew.

I'm buying pre-painted siding.

The trim, which will be that plastic stuff, and some touch up is all that should need doing.

Never fear...you'll get a call. ;D

Everyone needs to know that this is not gonna be your average 2x6 framed house. The construction techniques are very different. It's going to be interesting to see how it performs.

Tomorrow I am heading...  Nowhere.  ;D

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.
