I've written to Santa for one. Wonder if he'll be able to fit it down my quake-damaged chimney in 8 months...

Speaking of Santa (I'm definitely invoking the "say anything" part of this thread) - my neighbors still have their Christmas tree up.  This isn't a case of "i'll get around to taking the tree out next week"  - that tree is center stage in their front picture window, bright green (it's either fake or live), decorated, lights on at night, and nutcrackers decorating the mantle behind it.  I thought maybe they had some tradition to keep the tree up until Easter, but it's still there.  Am I missing something? It's the end of April, and their tree has been up since the beginning of December...isn't that kinda odd??

It was great meeting "The Dude" at long last.   She brought us some epic beer.

You've seen them recently? Going to work in the morning, etc? You're sure they're not in there rotting away as we speak (type)?

In other news, I hate looking for a place to live almost as much as I hate moving.  [thumbsdown]

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

I've never actually seen these neighbors, despite ringing their bell in an attempt to warn them that the map light of their car was on.  Their car moves from their driveway and lights go on and off, so I don't think they've kicked the bucket.

Oh, and this is a pattern - I didn't pay as much attention in previous years, but their tree was up for an eternity in 2009 & 2010 too.

I hear ya on looking for places & moving, it bites.  but I may be doing it too in the next few months. Gotta brace myself for the suckitude.

[laugh]  yeah, every time I see headlights or a map light on in a car that's clearly parked for a while, and the car is in a driveway, I have this compulsion to ring the doorbell and warn the owner.  But no one has ever answered in the past 10+ years.  Oh well!

Actually, pushing your bike uphill is not a bad workout strategy...
