Engineers should not be allowed to go past the point of design.

Labor does not need engineering.

I'm pretty sure adding an engineer to any project is a recipe for not going wellingness  ;)

Why were you up so early, Stella?!!!
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Morening all,

Engineer? Who needs 'em? They can calculate and draw very nice stuff, but, know very few that actually can use tools and do something without calculating the degrees, the temperatura and the many other things they calculate to then find out the non-engineer person has already done the job !!!

Morning.

Day 2 of Folkmoot.  We have groups from China*, Finland, Italy, US, Burundi, Guadalupé, Croatia, and Trinidad.  So far so good!  Sleep is already going out the window, home at 12:30 last night, probably later tonight.

*Asian group based in Canada

Off to sort my pictures from last night's Gala Prevue.

Afterning all,

What a day, started by going to the shop to tell a customer's "technician" that he is a worthless piece of cow's dropings; this was asked by the shop's owner and after that I told him that he has to ask the company for equipment training for the 'techs'.

No use in having an OBD II tester/code reader, that has software that gives you instructions on how to troubleshoot.

Appart from that, got a call from freight forwarder and he told me he'd give me a discount of 15% on the my next shipments from the US to Panama ... he overcharged me close to $600.00 and is only willing to give me a 'lifetime 15% discount?' Very very expensive set of Michelin Power Pilots ... from $215.00 to almost $900.00 ...

So, anything new ... too tired to read previous pages

it's a more recent memory for me, like just a few hours ago.
I had to go to 866 UN Plaza and the nearest train is blocks away, so I walked a bit more today than I'd have liked.
