Everybody funny today.  ;D

Definitely not lucky...  :P

As far as chewing your arm off in the morning goes, I remember one time I hooked up with this smokin' hot babe at the club and went back to my place.  We had a great time, but when I woke up in the morning, she somehow had snuck out while I was sleeping and some other not-quite-as-attractive girl snuck in to her place... She had the same clothes, jewelry, and such, so I was a little baffled... The way I saw it at the time was I got lucky with two different girls.   [laugh] :-\ :-X :P :'(

Huh. Like bizzaro world. The second girl, presumably the evil one, didn't gave a goatee did she?

Don't give him any ideas.  I was hoping to get a 999 for cheap. [evil] ;D

If you're serious, make me an offer...  Seriously.

This past week has become a major crossroads in my life.

I need to find a new place to live, but everything I look at is at least double what I'm paying now.  Because of the housing market in Kalifornia, more people are renting, causing prices to go way up.  :P   Also, I need to go back to school to either change careers or advance within my profession, because what I'm making now isn't going to cut it for much longer.

I've been toying with the idea since last week of selling my baby. I really really REALLY don't want to, but life hit me with a triple whammy.

Sorry to be so somber on a Sunday morning, but since it was brought up...   :-\

Ha... No.  ;)   She looked exactly the same, just a little rounder?
To put it a little more bluntly, booze had definitely impaired my perspective the night before...  [beer]

It's all about the perspective. 8)

We went to lunch and then for a walk in the woods.

It was muddy and Z got eaten alive, but it was fun. It's fun for a 5 year old to slog through the mud and no one says a word. ;D

We came home to get him some dry clothes and back out forSunday errands.

Used the word perspective just for you, Nate.  ;)

I had originally typed "judgement" but thought better of it...

I think it's great you let Z get all dirty, crusty, muddy, and such.  Not enough parents let their kids be kids these days, IMHO...  [thumbsup]

Perspective is such a great word...

it can explain so many things.

He's all boy...

you should see him climb in the foundation trench.

He has a castle...

...and a moat you know.

If I had a moat when I was five, it would take a team of horses to ge me out of it!
(or my Grandma with a wooden spoon...)   [laugh]

Too many parents are worried about their kids getting hurt or breaking an arm. Or, sadder still, too worried about the kids bumping into a table and breaking a lamp or something.  :P

Like you said... Perspective.

I worry, but he needs to find out.

I'll be here as long as I can to hold his hand or give him a hug or take the ambulance ride when he does get hurt.

As far as things getting broken...

his nickname...coined by lethe...is destructo-force.

Therein lies the difference, you worry but let him have at it because experience is the best teacher.

So many out there won't let their kids experience anything, so how will they learn?  Then, when the real world pregnant dog-slaps them, the kids will start whining about how life is so unfair and blah blah blah...  [roll]

Destructo-Force..?  I like that.   ;D

I might have an idea... Me at 5 with ADHD, then multiply by 2 or 5?

;)

I was jumping off the roof trying to land in the tree by 7... I could never never quite hold onto the branch long enough, though...  :-\

Luckily, I always managed to land in that little grass strip between the sidewalk and the driveway.   ;D
