More Ning. [coffee]

Think I am going to put on new sprockets & chain today.

Hope this set lasts longer than a tank of gas. :-\
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

My day (week, month, life) is made.  After simply buying just a cup of coffee for soldiers via www.greenbeanscoffee.com I received this message

"First and foremost, I and many other soldiers here thank you for your support and prayers in what we do here. It certainly means a lot to us that 1; we are not forgotten and 2; we still have the support of the American people. I am a 22 year veteran serving my fourth tour with the 101st Airborne Division deployed here in Kandahar Afghanistan. I am a Chief Warrant Officer and my job is to fly the CH-47F Chinook heavy lift helicopter, now going on 20 years. Our mission ranges from air movement of personnel and supplies throughout Afghanistan to deliberate operational air assaults. This is my last HooRa and I have been privileged to serve with some of the best soldiers throughout my career and will certainly miss serving with them in the future when I retire next year. Again, thank you for your support and may God Bless you and your family. Todd A. McElmurry Chief Warrant Officer 4 7th Battalion, 101st Airborne Division Kandahar, Afghanistan"

You have no idea how much that simple gesture means.

I keep sending the GI's Girl Scout cookies year after year....never a peep back.....

doesn't really matter.... I don't do it for the t/y's...the fact that they are there is sufficient enough an acknowledgement

got to believe they are making them happy despite the circumstances

Good on you Stella

If you send me some g-scout cookies, I'll send you a thank you.   ;)    And no, I don't expect to hear back from coffee recipients either (thanks to Bicks for cluing us into that site - btw) but when you do get a message....wow!  Very cool.

I have an area rug / carpet to clean now - thanks to el gato.    Adios.

used rug liabilities....especially the antique ones....

you never know how many pets, drunks or seniles have hit them over the course of 60-80 years

but the first really hot humid day will give usually you a clear indication that it really wasn't "professionally cleaned"  :P

I'll add you to the cookie list
